Face2Wikipedia allows individuals to create a fictional yet convincing Wikipedia-style biography page about themselves by providing a self-portrait and a brief description of what they would like to be known for.
Face2Wikipedia is an interactive installation that provides individuals with an opportunity to create a fictional but convincing Wikipedia-style biography page about themselves using a single self-portrait. To generate the page, the installation requires the person's name and a photo of their face. The person is prompted to input what they would like to be known for, and the installation employs machine learning algorithms to generate a unique and coherent biography page, reflecting an alternate version of the individual's identity.
The physical installation comprises of a desk setup with a large display, providing visitors the opportunity to interact with the installation in real-time. To participate, visitors must answer two questions, click a button, and have their picture taken using the webcam.
The installations was at public display at Sonar Festival 2022.
